Forget Coachella: Tyler, the Creator’s Carnival Is Redefining Festival Style

The get-together of wily Los Angeles youth known as the Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival touched base at Exposition Park this end of the week for its fifth year running, showcasing a particularly SoCal way to deal with road style. All around the Los Angeles Coliseum, skater children and punky rappers shook out to any semblance of Tyler, the Creator, Death Grips, Chance the Rapper, SZA, Erykah Badu, and Lil Wayne. Posturing before frozen yogurt trucks, rollercoaster rides, and dividers painted with Tyler’s mark eye-popping design, the group demonstrated they were similarly as jazzy as the specialists in front of an audience, and kept the easygoing California soul alive under an unseasonably warm November sun.

Here, the youthful radicals flaunt their celebration best, bouncing their heads in self-bothered T-shirts, kettle suits, hand-painted cowhide coats, and splendidly shaded denim, Odd Future brand dress, and advanced goes up against the great stoner celebration look that were, apparently, light years in front of anything you’ll see at Coachella.
